Scholarships for Ski Area Operations Program
If you or someone you know is pursuing a career in the ski industry, then this good news is for you! Vail Resorts Ski Area has announced its Operations Diversity Scholarship Available to residents Lake County enrolled or planning to enroll in the Colorado Mountain College Timberline Campus, Ski Area Operations Program. Here are the details:
- ELIGIBILITY: Students must be high school graduates enrolled or planning to enroll in the CMC Associates Degree in Ski Area Operations. Preference will be given to under-served populations. Applicants must be classified as in-district for the purpose of CMC tuition.
- GPA REQUIREMENT: Successful applicants must document a minimum high school GPA of at least 2.0; returning students must demonstrate a GPA of at least 2.5 by way of transcripts from CMC or other institutions attended. Financial need will be a factor in recipient selection.
- AWARD: Full cost of tuition, books, and fees for first and second year – approximately $2325 per year renewable up for two years contingent on GPA of at least 2.5 during the academic year.
- DEADLINE DATE: July 1, 2013. Scholarship recipient will be announced by July 15, 2012.
