Simon Resigns as CMC President
Mike Simon, President of Colorado Mountain College (CMC) Timberline Campus announced his resignation effective next Monday, July 15, 2013.CMC President Mike Simon resigns.
While nothing has been formally released to the Leadville/Lake County media nor reported on CMC’s social media platforms, a letter obtained by Leadville Today dated in late June stated that Simon had accepted the position of presidency of Dawson Community College in Montana.
According to CMC Public Information Officer Debra Crawford who reported via email that, “The college will be naming an interim campus vice president in Lake and Chaffee counties in the near future and will conduct a search for a permanent replacement.”

Tomorrow night – Friday, July 12 – there is a benefit dance and pot luck dinner in memory of Jessica Sica Artica. Jessica and her unborn child lost their lives in a tragic car accident on June 10, 2013.
Jessica was a loving mother to four small children whom she leaves behind. The money being raised will go to her children and their needs.
