It’s the Beginning of a (Taxing) Election Season
Local voters will be going to the booths on a number of different local issues this November 5; most of them concerning a tax increase.
There are a couple on the municipal level, and written comments in favor or against such measures are due in writing by this Friday, Sept. 20 by 5 p.m. So read up and then write up, if you so desire.
The City Council of the City of Leadville has referred two ballot measures to City of Leadville voters for the November 5, 2013 election that relate to taxes and are, therefore, considered TABOR (Taxpayers Bill of Rights) issues. The ballot issues are numbered “1A” and “1B” on the ballot.
