Tree of Sharing Tags are Available Around Town
If you’ll be out doing some holiday shopping in the next week or so, consider adding a Tree of Sharing gift to your list, for children who may be at risk of being forgotten at this important time of year. Sharing tags have been distributed around town and can be found at the following locations:
Community Church, Cornerstone Church, Cookies with Altitude, Elevated Eyeware, First Mountain Bank, FMI @ Climax, Golden Burro, Lake County Health and Human Services, Matchless Treasures, Morning Star Child Care, Mountain River Credit Union, Peoples Bank, Pueblo Bank & Trust, St. Vincent General Hospital.
A $30 limit is suggested on toys and/or clothing. Please return unwrapped gifts to the place the tag was received or to St. Vincent Hospital front desk by Saturday, Dec. 6. The toys will be distributed to those on Dec. 13.
Contact Noreen Dewhirst at 719-839-5642 if you would like tags or have any questions. Gifts can be returned to any tag location, including St. Vincent Hospital waiting area.
Last year, donations from the community helped brighten the holidays for over 600 children with gifts, books, and warm clothing. The Tree of Sharing project does not receive government funding, therefore the project’s success is dependent on the generosity of Lake County residents, businesses, and private organizations. we send your donation to their sorrows can begin the work.
