Welcome Sweet 2016 to Fabulous Lead Vegas!
Happy New Year! It’s time to welcome sweet 2016 into Leadville and Lake County. How are you going to bring in the New Year?! Do you put on your party clothes and paint the town red in Lead Vegas?! Or do you prefer a more subdued approach with a small gathering of friends and some of your favorite tunes. Regardless of how you like to turn the calendar year, Leadville has a few options to choose from for this Thursday, Dec. 31 – New Year’s Eve!
The new brewpub on the block, Periodic Brewing will be open at 3 p.m. on December 31, 2015 and be serving some home brews until 2016. Both college bowl games will be showing, food menu is in full swing, and there may be a few surprises, including some champagne popping at midnight, the PB crew reported via their Facebook Page.
Periodic Brewing is the World’s Highest Craft Brewery Elevation at 10,156 ft. and is located at 115 E. 7th Street in Leadville.
The Scarlet’s annual New Year’s Eve Party looks like another hit with the return of classic rockers the Soul Tones. According to the band’s website, The Soultones is comprised of musicians that have not only played together, but have also been friends for a number of years.

The concept of the band started out from the Anthology Houseband’s Motown Revue and turned into what it is today: a high-energy, highly talented and experienced collection of musicians that can play any variety of music that is desired- Soul, R&B, Latin, Rock, Pop, Funk, Jazz, and the Blues!
Party-goers drawn to the corner of 4th and historic Harrison Avenue can expect a midnight champagne toast and balloon drop, as well as party favors at The Scarlet Bar.

This year, owners Chuck and Lee also have some really nice prizes, including a sa-weet PBR snowboard, a PBR onesy (!) and some Eddyline Brewery growlers are among the top swag. Must be present for drawing after midnight to win. No cover charge, 21 + with valid ID.
The Manhattan Bar on the corner of 7th and Harrison Avenue, welcomes everyone to ring in the New Year with a special champagne toast at midnight. Jukebox music.
This year, The Leadville Elks Lodge will have a New Year’s Eve DJ with dancing and a midnight toast. The festivities start at 7 p.m.
Good times and lively fun have been resurrected at The Pastime Bar & Cafe on W. 2nd Street and to prove it they’re having a festive Masquerade Ball on New Year’s Eve. New owners Nathan Fisher and Dawn Todd welcome everyone to join the fun and check out their new BBQ menu starting at noon on New Year’s Eve Day.
Then the night fun begins as DJ Dawn will be throwing down some good dancing music, there’ll be drink specials and a midnight toast, as well as some giveaways for party-goers wearing a masquerade mask. The party starts at 9 p.m. and will ring in the New Year until 2 a.m.
