Find Shelter – And FUN – from The Spring Storm!
Well, it’s a T.G.I.F from the Highest Incorporated City in North America. And if the weather reports prove true, Leadville and Lake County could get some measurable snow from a sizable Spring storm predicted for the high country this weekend. No doubt the I-70 corridor will be a mess and see its share of closures, so just plan on staying put!
The good news is that there are things happening in good ole Lead Vegas to help keep you entertained this weekend. Today’s report will start at the end and work backwards to tonight.
This Sunday, April 17 will mark a first for Leadville’s newest brew house, as Periodic Brewing hosts The Shady Rest Band.
Two hardworking friends and long-time musicians are the core of The Shady Rest Band. Based out of San Marcos, TX, Nate Guthrie and CK Dangerbird deliver high energy sets that include everything from traditional works to an extensive catalog of foot stompin’ original tunes. Whether acoustic or plugged-in and turned-up, this nationally touring act rules the road as a 3 piece with multi-instrumentalist Tommy Batchelor, and proves that well versed songwriting shines alongside stellar musicianship.
Come kick back with an ale and enjoy the sounds of this Sunday, April 17 from 3 – 6 p.m. at Periodic Brewing, 115 E. 7th Street in downtown Leadville.
