Holiday Happenings Heating Up In The Cloud City
You’ve probably got one in your closet. You can’t quite bring yourself to get rid of it, but rarely find the appropriate occasion to wear the thing. Well, it’s time to break out those ugly Christmas sweater cause next Saturday you’ll have a place to “don your gay apparel.”
In just a few years, the ugly Christmas sweater trend has evolved from a byproduct of counter-cultural hipsters to an annual tradition embraced by families, and yes, entire communities. So not to be not to be out done, Periodic Brewing in Leadville will host its first Ugly Christmas Sweater Party next Saturday, Dec. 10.

Game on! Let’s see your Ugly Christmas Sweater next Saturday, Dec 10 at Periodic Brewing in Leadville. Don’t have one? Check The Mule Kick on historic Harrison Avenue or Matchless Treasures Thrift.
So dig out that old standby that Aunt Sally gave you years ago and head on down to Leadville’s brewery at 6 p.m. next Saturday to be eligible for the contest and prizes.
Party-goers are also asked to bring a donation of canned food, peanut butter and/or dry pasta to contribute to the food drive, with proceeds being distributed to Leadville’s food banks.
Tis the season to have the perfect excuse to wear your ugly Christmas sweater in public.
And if you don’t own one, but should like to participate, one word of advice . . . . such an important decision should never be left until the last minute, lest all the good “bad” sweaters at The Mule Kick or one of the thrift/consignment stores get snapped up before you have the chance to get your mittened mitts on one!
Periodic Brewing is located at 115 E 7th Street in Leadville, Colorado. (720) 864-1012 or online at LINK.
