Be Wise, Help Advise Your U.S. Forest Service
The Pike and San Isabel National Forests, Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, along with five Colorado counties are seeking diverse candidates to fill multiple vacancies on a resource advisory committee (RAC). The “Pike & San Isabel” RAC covers Chaffee, Huerfano, Park, Lake and Larimer counties with funds from the Secure Rural Schools (SRS) Act.
The PSI-RAC has been operating since 2010 and recommended over 70 projects for restoration and improvement projects on federal public lands. Examples include relocating trails out of riparian areas; road improvements to support water quality; noxious/invasive weed treatments; and replacing/resizing culverts to prevent over flow and establish fish passage.
This group consists of 15 members representing a wide range of interests. For more specific details: LINK.
