South 24 Workspace: Shared Places
Some say that the scenic beauty surrounding Leadville Today can often be just the kind of distraction they are looking for to escape from the everyday grind. While others look to those same views for the kind of inspiration necessary to get the job done – and get back out on the trails!
So whether you’re looking for an out-of-your-house office space/place to meet clients, or a spot to get a bit of work done during your mountain vacation, a new option has recently come into focus on the mountain business scene that offers views, and wireless too, in Lake County. Welcome, South 24 Workspace, a 24/7, keyless-entry co-working space and a conference room place which opened its doors in June 2019.
“We wanted to offer a comfortable space with state-of-the-art amenities like wired or wireless desks, printers, conference rooms, and a ‘phone booth’ to take calls,” explains Dr. Lance Schamberger who owns the workspace with his wife, Michelle. “And of course, gourmet coffee and tea, because who wants to work without coffee?”
The space also contains a full-service kitchen where coworkers can make their own lunches or dinners, or groups using the conference room can use to provide snacks and meals during meetings.
The Workspace is a Proximity Space. There are hundreds of Proximity-powered workspaces across the country. Proximity technology allows users to select from day-to-day or month-to-month memberships, based on individual needs, pay online, and access the workspace when they need it, whether that’s 7 a.m. or 7 p.m. In addition, Proximity workspaces offer free days at other spaces across the country, so a member at South 24 Workspace can take advantage of co-working in Frisco, Montrose or Chicago.
“We began planning the space two years ago,” Michelle said. “I work remotely, and I found a co-working space in Frisco that I frequently used and thought, ‘we need something like this in Leadville.’”
The co-working community continues to expand. “I have used other Proximity spaces when we travel, so it’s nice to be a part of the community and have a place to comfortably, quietly work and chat with other coworkers in locations across the country.”
South 24 Workspace is offering special introductory rates this fall. Come, work in comfort, with stunning views of Mount Elbert and Mount Massive, Colorado’s two highest peaks.
